Frequently Asked Questions

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. These are fats found in foods like coconut oil. They are metabolised differently than the long-chain triglycerides (LCT).

Our MCT oil contains C8 - Caprylic and C10 - Capric acid.

Liquid coconut oil passed off as MCT oil is misleading. Always check which acid contains, preferably C8 or C10.

Absolutely and it is the reason why we have added it to our Phat Performance range. MCTs are more easily converted to Ketones because the body does not have to work as hard to break down their carbon bonds.

You can add it to your morning coffee, smoothie, tea, juice, yoghurt. It seriously is so versatile you can consume it how you want.

The answer to this is going to come down to personal preference. Powder is more convenient to carry around than liquid for example. Texture of oil is different to powder, with powder being more creamier than oil. The powder also needs a "carrier" to convert the oil to powder so it is important to ensure the carrier is a good source.
